SolarKit from Becker enables off-grid roller shutter and screen automation
What do ecological sustainability and modern building automation have in common? Clearly, they are integral components of intelligent smart home solutions. Becker is now bringing both aspects back into a progressive interrelationship. This is ensured by the new SolarKit SK460, which draws energy from a solar panel and thus power supply for roller shutter and screen applications. Thanks to the two application-specific modes, namely roller shutter or screen, the drive adapts precisely to the requirements of the system.
Effortless installation, simple control and efficient operation
Automated living becomes child's play: instead of having to deal with tedious cable laying, the SolarKit SK460, consisting of DC drive, solar panel, battery and the necessary installation accessories, is installed directly in the roller shutter or screen element, the associated battery and the necessary mounting accessories, is installed directly in the roller shutter or screen element. Thanks to its compact design, the solar panel can be easily be placed on a corresponding box element. This applies primarily to front-mounted or top-mounted boxes, but the SolarKit also gets roller shutters and screens moving very easily in masonry boxes.
The absolute highlight: Unpleasant drilling manoeuvres from inside switches to the outside are completely eliminated, as screens or roller shutters are conveniently operated via the Centronic radio control. However, it is not only in terms of functionality that the SolarKit, which is self-sufficient in mains power, proves to be extremely reliable. It also guarantees minimum efficiency losses in terms of energy efficiency. More than 100 operating cycles are possible on a single battery charge alone.
The SK460 has additional smart equipment functions to offer privacy and sun protection not just at a high level, but at the highest level. For example, if you don't want to be dazzled by the low evening sun but still want to enjoy sufficient light, you can programme two selectable intermediate positions.
For added security, rigid shaft connectors can also be used, which act as anti-lift devices for solid burglar resistance. Thanks to its automatic blocking detection, the SolarKit also reliably protects roller shutters and screen hangings should they collide with foreign objects.
In addition, sensors can be integrated for screens that react to strong gusts of wind, rain or sunlight and retract or extend the blind as required. or extend the blind as required. With regard to the sun sensor, this also applies to the roller shutter mode. This is how modern application automation works,
resource-saving sustainability and the highest level of convenience cater to the individual preferences of smart home fans.
