Description

Product and functional description

The 498102 cut-off relay is a control relay for controlling blind and shutter motors with mechanical or electronic limit switches. The cut-off relay is used to prevent unauthorized parallel switching of
Blind or shutter motors in parallel. Only one motor may be connected to a 498102. If more than 2 motors are to be controlled, several cut-off relays can be connected according to the circuit diagram.

Central control

All connected motors can be operated simultaneously via the central control unit. Suitable switching devices are blind switches or blind push-buttons, shutter timers, EIB shutter actuators
and various control units with potential-free contacts.
Important: Switchover time between up and down command >= 0.5sec. must be observed, otherwise damage to the motor or relay is possible (technical data of the blinds).
of the relay is possible (observe the technical data of the motors).

Adding several cut-off relays

Several cut-off relays can be connected together according to the circuit diagram.

The motor current and the relay current flow via the Up and Down control inputs. The load on the central operating unit is therefore dependent on the motor currents.
Caution: Do not overload the central operating unit!

Technical data

Power supply: 230V, AC, 50Hz, fuse protection circuit breaker max. 10A characteristic A or B
Outputs: Connection for a shutter or blind motor (8A AC1, 4 A cos phi 0.6)
Connections: Screw terminal 0.5 to 2.5qmm single-wire, 0.5-1.5qmm fine-wire with wire end ferrule
Electrical safety: Pollution degree (IEC 60664-1): 2, degree of protection: depending on the installation box
Overvoltage (according to IEC 60664-1):3, CE marking: Low Voltage Directive

Caution

The device may only be connected by a qualified electrician. The device must not be opened. When connecting, ensure that all poles of the cut-off relay are disconnected.
If different phases are permitted, ensure that all poles are disconnected in the event of a fault or when working on the system. Adding several cut-off relays
Several cut-off relays can be connected together in accordance with the circuit diagram. The applicable safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed.
