The spherical plain bearing is used to deflect the crank drive and as a wall bushing to the gearbox. The universal design of the spherical plain bearing plate allows angled or straight deflection.
It can be used where the gearbox output is above the permissible deflection angle of 45° for normal universal joints or spherical plain bearings.
The spherical plain bearing is smooth-running thanks to ball bearings and allows a deflection angle of 45° to 90°. As a result of the large deflection angle, not only can the previously used angular gearboxes be replaced, but
also solve all drive problems in the 45° to 90° range. When using an additional universal joint, installation misalignments (to the gearbox) are compensated.
